FAN PAGE FOR FACEBOOK

Many of you may have seen Fan Pages on facebook. But most of you still do not know how to create them.

Here I explain you the procedure of creating a fan page on facebook.Its damn easy!

1. First of all you just have to sign up for a facebook account (Hope everybody have that already).

Next thing is to login to facebook.com with your ID and Password. It looks like this after logging in

2. Then click on the more button below the list which is on the left side of the page which also has photos , game requests etc tabs in it. After this u can see “Adds and Pages” option as in the image below.

Click on that or if you donot find that “Adds and pages” option there go tohttp://www.facebook.com/pages/

3. After this click on the “create page” option. as in below image (Same procedure for both the methods)

4. Enter the desired name of the page and click on the “Create page” option and finally your page looks like this

5. And your Page’s “like page” looks like below

Facebook’s latest offering is the Facebook Email Service which is claimed to be the Gmail or Yahoo mail killer because of the quick emailing and social connectivity features. To set up a free @facebook.com address, go to your Messages view and click the “Claim your Facebook email” link. Your email address will match your public username, for example:
Profile: facebook.com/username
Email: username@facebook.com 
If you don’t have a username yet, you can choose one when you create your email address. 
Once you set up your email address, people can email you using any traditional email system (e.g., Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail), and the emails will be delivered to your Facebook Messages. When you send messages to external email addresses, the emails will be formatted to look like Facebook messages, including your name, your profile picture and your message.

One more use of this is that your homepage URL will become www.facebook.com/username/

Check out your existing URL of your facebook homepage after login. It will be having unrelated random symbols/alphabets. But after registering for facebook email it will comes to this format www.facebook.com/username

FACEBOOK CHAT FOR MOZILLA SLIDEBAR

I really feel very much boring to open the facebook window every time when I get a chat message on facebook. Its not so comfortable to leave a website we are engaged in, Just to reply the facebook chat message. Isn’t it good if we have the facebook chat window on the left side bar of the Mozilla Firefox browser which display on every website we use.
Here is the Procedure to get a facebook chat window on the firefox sidebar.

Step 1 :

Look for the Bookmarks in menu bar on top of the Navigation bar. select add new bookmark option. If you don’t know how to add a bookmark, Bookmark any site you have opened and select organize bookmarks option from the Bookmarks menu. and edit that bookmark for your new facebook bookmark.

Step 2 :

Add New Bookmark tab with the following details

• Name : Facebook Chat
• Location : http://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php
• Check the “Load this Toolbar in Sidebar” Option

Step 3 :

Launch the Firefox sidebar from the View menu bar and click Facebook Chat which you saved from the List of Bookmarks to start chatting with your Facebook Friends on Firefox in Style!
