Have you seen the pictures floating around the internet with the
transparent monitors, ipods, iphones, etc...

Some, have there hands in the monitor.

Well, I'm going to show you how to do them.
These have NO photo-shop involved.
(as in, cut and paste)




We will have to crop the photo, though....
(using Gimp or other image editing software)

This technique will work, with both - the hand in the monitor and transparent monitor!
I did this on a PC running Windows XP, but I am sure it will work on a Mac.

Step 1Items needed and Taking First Picture

Items needed for the Instructable

Camera (mine is a Canon Powershot A650 IS, nice camera)
Tripod (really don't need one, but helps)
Knowledge of Gimp (it's free) or other image editing software (resize or edit pictures)

Patience

1st Step

Take a picture of your hand in front of the monitor.
Make you hand like your holding something.
(suppose you could use your foot/feet too!)

I found out, using the tripod help to stabilize the camera, that way, I did not have to use the flash.
Then, you don't get the glare. (2nd picture above)

Now onto the next step...

Step 2Cropping the Image to Fit your Monitor

This is where Gimp comes in

Now, with the picture we took in step 1, we are going to
crop the picture to fit our monitor resolution.

To find out your monitor resolution
On a PC, you would right click on the desktop and select properties and then settings.
You should see your screen resolution in the screen resolution box.
In my case it was 1680 x 1050 pixels.

So, I cropped the picture to 1650 x 1050 pixels. (3rd picture)

Step three next...

Step 3Make the Image your Wallpaper

Now, take your cropped picture (from step 2) and make it your desktop wallpaper.
In Windows XP (that is what I use).
Right click on the desktop and pick properties.
Click on the desktop tab.
Hit the Browse button and go to the folder with the cropped picture in it.

After you have your picture as the background your going to want to get rid of ALL your icons.
To do this, you would right click on the desktop,
click on ARRANGE ICONS BY, and uncheck SHOW DESKTOP ICONS.
You will want to get rid of the taskbar also.
Auto-hide the taskbar.

Then you will want to open up the calculator or a browser, or whatever.
Place the item in your hand. You might have to play with it, a bit.
Resizing to fit your hand or foot.
Just to get it convincing looking.

Now you want to take a picture of the monitor with the wallpaper and calculator, browser or whatever is in your hand.
(See picture above) That is the actual picture I cropped.

Onto the final and last step...

Step 4Cropping the Final Image

Next, we will take the final picture and crop everything outside the monitor.
See picture above.
I used a program called ACDSee Pro 3.
ACDSee Pro 3

Gimp, as mentioned above will crop too!

Then, what you end up is the FINAL picture.

You can use the same technique to do the whole monitor transparent.
Maybe another instructable...

This instructable is full of batch programs i wrote and how to annoy the hell out of people
 

Step 1The First Prank

This Prank will show you how to close the persons interface which is called explorer in windows.
Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open task manager, then click on the processes tab, find explorer in the list and press delete (That Closes the process). Alternatively you could copy one of the texts below into notepad and save it as whatever.bat

This script allows you to set a timer before explorer.exe starts again.
Minimize it so the window is nolonger visible.
The other alternative

This is for users that know about this trick because this stops them from opening it at all (to stop it if you really wanted to,open task manager>process's>CMD close it and it will be back to normal.(better to download the one below hidden and password protected)

Step 2No Internet Explorer

This will drive them mad if you pull off this one, especially if they have to work on the internet. Again you have to copy the text below into a notepad document and save it as whatever.bat

April Fools! Pranking your long-distance friends.

One of the simplest, and funniest, April Fools jokes is the classic fish stuck on people's backs. But how do you do this when your friends don't live in the same city or country as you do? The internet has made this task much easier by bringing us all closer together and now we can prank each other virtutally! Follow these simple steps to successfully "stick" a fish on everyone one of your friends!

Step 1What you'll need:

 - A Facebook account
 - A picture of a fish(you can pull one off the internet, draw it in Microsoft Paint, or stretch out that old drawing hand and go traditional, then scan or photograph it - as long as you have a digital image of a fish)
- a few(or alot) of good-humored friends, also on Facebook

That's it!



(Side note: I believe that this same prank would be possible on Twitter or individual blogs - I, unfortunately, do not have an account on either platforms, so I could not test them. If anyone has success with this prank on Twitter, etc., let me know, and I will add the information to the steps.)

Step 2Hiding the fish

You don't want the fish to be readily visible in your profile. First, pick an existing photo album, and upload the image of the fish to this photo album. The best would be a large album with several pages of photos - this way, the fish will be buried far at the end, and would require a lot of searching to find. 

Step 3Tagging your friends

Once the fish is uploaded, write a comment explaining your intentions for April Foolery. Then tag the photo with all the friends you feel would take this particular prank well. This is to accomplish 2 things: One, it will get better reactions from those with a great sense of humor, and are more frequently online, and two, you don't want to inadvertently insult anyone - so choose your tags wisely. 

Step 4Hide the evidence.

Once you save your changes to the album, and finish tagging everyone, return to your profile page and delete the newsfeed about the new addition to your photo album. This should also remove any evidence from the main newsfeed that you have a posted a fish to your profile. The last thing you want to do after going through the effort of hiding the fish, is shout it out to the entire Facebook community! 

Step 5How it works:

This prank is perfectly suited to the mechanisms of Facebook. If you have ever been tagged in someone else's photos, then you know that you automatically receive an email notification stating this. By tagging all your friends on the picture of the fish, they will then receive an email telling them this. Hopefully, they will follow the link to the photo, and be rewarded with a picture of a goofy-looking fish! Laughter will follow.

It is reminiscent of that moment you find you've had a bright orange orange fish stuck to your back for the past 2 hours.

Step 6Reap the rewards.

Sometimes, if your friends are super-appreciative of the gesture, they will leave comments telling you this. It's especially fun to log on at the end of the day and read all the wonderful comments left for you, and realized that even a silly little prank can put a spot of sunshine into someone's day.

How To Hack Via BlueTooth

This tutorial will allow you to send messages and make free phonecalls at another's expense. This will also allow you to read the phone book and inbox of the hacked device.

This is a BlueTooth Hack tutorial by MessMaker.

Step 1Getting The Tech

First you will need a phone that has BlueTooth connectivity.
You should also have a handset that supports JAVA MIDP-2 (if you dont know how to check, its easier to just try and do it =]  ).

The tech you will need is a small file that we developed a while ago for mobiles called "MagicBlueHack".
I've posted it here for your convenience =]

If the file doesn't work, read below.




Note: if the file download I posted doesnt work, search and download it from http://getjar.com/ (search: BlueMagicHack)
you might have to enter your phone type in the top right hand corner, to get the correct download.

Step 2Put the Tech on your phone

You now need to get the program onto your mobile.
The way most people do it, is to connect your phone to the computer using a USB
cable, and transfer the program.


The device you are hacking does not need to have the program installed, only your handset requires it.

Step 3Activate BlueTooth and MagicBlueHack

Activate the BlueTooth on your handset and run the MagicBlueHack program from your mobile.

the file might be found in "other files" once downloaded.

Step 4Search For A Victim

Select the connect option from the menu. It will then search for bluetooth devices in the vacinity. The Bluetooth of your victims mobile should also be turned on for the program to work.

Step 5Open MagicBlueHack

i

Select the device you want to hack and it may ask for permission to start Bluetooth service with another.

You may also need to be paired with the devices and exchange passkeys. (which can be tricky). I usually just smooth talk, until they accept.
e.g. "I'll send you pac-man!".


There are programs that allow you to pair up 2 devices without passkeys or the victim getting notified.none of which i am legally allowed to post here sorry.

Step 6Have Some Fun (:

After the connection is established you can make calls to any desired number and also send text messages via the hacked number.

Enter the destination phone number in the number box and select the make call option from menu. It will then make the call from the connected device to your destination number. It will happen without notifying the owner of the connected device.
The charges will be applicable to the hacked mobile.

You can also answer calls for the hacked device.

To send text SMS you have to enter the destination number in the box and type in the text in the SMS Text Box and select send SMS option from the menu.

YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED.
